Brad Pitt has added Sydney to one of the pit-stops to his premiere tour for the big budgeted post apocalyptic movie, World War Z, produced by his production company, Plan B. The movie comes out in theatres June 20.
Paramount Australia has just updated that the premiere would be held at The Star Event Centre, marking the first time The Star holds a movie premiere. Located on the rooftop of The Star, the venue boasts a million dollar view of Sydney Harbour and the city skyline, with up to 4000 patron capacity. The Event Centre has held lavish dinners, award functions and conferences. Most recently, it was transformed for Seal's Soul 2 concert and a gala buffet on Mother's Day.
Event: World War Z Australian premiere

How:1. Win a double pass and get a chance (or seven) to walk the red carpet at World War Z Sydney premiere by joining these competitions:
// Nova FM // Fox8 // book tickets at eVent cinemas // Geek of Oz // Celebrity Oz // Empire Online // MTV Australia //
2. Or you could join us at the red carpet and get a chance to meet the Tree of Life star as they arrive through Piramma road at The Star.
Based on a novel of the same name, World Warz Z tells the story of UN worker Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt), who travels around the world in an attempt to put a stop to a zombie pandemic that has been crippling government. Sounds like a fun job.
Brad Pitt's scheduled appearance would hopefully serve as a consolation for Leonardo DiCaprio's last minute cancelation of the Sydney premiere of The Great Gatsby. It seems that Mr. Pitt is pulling out all the stops to promote World War Z. Also starring LOST star Matthew Fox and Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston, the movie has been plagued by various development problems from script issues to ballooning budget due to filming over 40 minutes worth of extra footages. We don't know about you, but this sounds just like James Cameron and Titanic all over again. Of course, it could also be Prometheus.
